TORC’s Housing Officer, Tenant Engagement Officer and Facilities Management will be on site in Clane on July 24th to hold a housing clinic.          European Neighbours Day in Clonakilty:

Thanks to everyone in Clonakilty who came along to the planting event for European Neighbours Day. It was a successful day with great community involvement and plenty sunshine to top it off 🎉, Picture

Alongside the planting, families enjoyed a lively puppet show from Kids Party Club, face painting for the children and an ice cream van that added to the fun atmosphere🌱, Picture☀️, Picture

We’re grateful to everyone who showed up and got involved — your support made the day a success. We’re already looking ahead to the next resident event!

                    Street Feast in Shannon

Shannon Residents…

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made our Street Feast such a brilliant day! It was great to see so many friendly faces, neighbours catching up and kids running around having a blast. The BBQ from Sheehan’s Butchers was top-notch, from juicy burgers to perfectly grilled sausages, there was something for everyone, and we heard plently of compliments. Big thanks to the Sheehan’s team for keepng the food coming and the crowd happy.

The little ones had a fantastic time too, thanks to a live puppet show from Kids Party Club that kept them laughing and entertained. And of course, the visit from the Shannon Ices ice cream van was a big hit — nothing like an ice cream to top off a summer afternoon.

We were lucky with the weather — just one quick shower, but it passed before we knew it and didn’t put a damper on the fun and the smiles never stopped. All in all, it was a great day full of community spirit, laughter and good food.

Thanks again to everyone who helped out and came along — we’re already looking forward to the next one.

                  Summer BBQ in Skibbereen

The kids had an absolute blast with the magic show, and an ice cream to top it off 🍦

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a fun and memorable day. Here is to more great community events like this!

            TORC Annual Unit inspections 2025

Each year, TORC carries out an annual inspection on each of our 465 properties to ensure that we provide safe, efficient, durable, comfortable and sustainable homes for our tenants.  The 2025 house inspections begin next month in April and all schemes will be completed by October. Some important information to remember:

  • TORC will give a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice by letter to let you know the date and time-frame of your inspection.

  • If you are not going to be home or need a specific time for an appointment, please let us know in advance of your inspection.

  • HSCOs understand your home is where you live, we do not expect to walk into showrooms.

  • During the inspection a members of TORC staff may take pictures – these are used as a visual record of the condition of the property over the lifecycle of your home. They are also used to assist with logging any repairs.

  • Where a person is under 18 and is at home alone, we cannot complete an inspection without your previous permission/consent.
