Win An Electric Bike With TORC’s Cycle Safety Competition

Research has shown that positive awareness raising of cycle safety with children can help reduce the amount of minor, serious and fatal injuries that occur. As the summer holidays are fast approaching it’s a great time to get out on our bikes but everyone should be aware just how important cycle safety is.

For this Cycle Safety initiative, we are asking TORC residents to submit their ideas on the topic of safe cycling and specifically how their housing scheme can become safer for cyclists. We will be looking for practical and innovative ideas that would help bike owners and cyclists of all ages on your scheme. This could involve:

  • Individual Bike owner responsibilities
  • Community initiatives
  • Safety equipment
  • Changes or additions to your housing scheme
